I've lived many places, but it's now gotten to the point that I've lived in the West for the majority of my life. The tangrams in this book are a tribute to the sites, places, and people who used to roam America's Old West. They range from gunslingers and bronco busters to a flute-playing Kokopelli. There are puzzles of Utah's Delicate Arch, a buffalo, horses, campfires, and even an old Franklin Stove. I'm hoping that people can appreciate the humor and fun that these puzzles provide."

In addition to information regarding the origin and fundamentals of tangrams, the Tangram Fury Wild West Book includes many puzzles to solve. As with the other Tangram Fury Puzzle Books, this book includes a pattern of a tangram to use for solving the puzzles.

The main section of the book is followed by a bonus section that includes cards for a tangram matching game. Each book in the series includes a set of cut-and-play cards that can be combined with those of the other books to create an expanding deck of cards. The cards are also arranged in the book such that they could be photocopied onto colored paper and used with the original Tangram Fury competitive puzzle game.
